SoftPro 40th Anniversary Customer Testimonial — Caleb Gregory

In honor of SoftPro's 40th anniversary in 2024, Caleb Gregory of Lewis, Deese, Ditmore & Gregory, LLP sat down with us and shared the story of the firm's partnership with SoftPro over the last 40 years and how that partnership has helped the firm grow.

Fayetteville, NC-based law firm Lewis, Desse, Ditmore & Gregory have been using SoftPro for 40 years. When Caleb Gregory came on board at the firm, it didn't take long for him to get up to speed with the firm's software of choice: "SoftPro is the only program I've ever used since coming out of law school - working at different firms, it's always been SoftPro. I don't know of any other program that works as well as SoftPro does." One reason that the firm has continued their partnership with SoftPro over the years, Caleb explains, is SoftPro's role in helping their practice evolve and become more efficient. With the help of SoftPro, Caleb and his team are able to produce their closing disclosures faster and more efficiently, allowing them to complete their closings on time or even early. Caleb shares that this efficiency has led to happier customers and has caused the firm's realtor clients to send more referrals to their practice.  

While increased efficiency is one benefit the team at Lewis, Desse, Ditmore & Gregory have seen over the years, it is not their only reason for continuing to use SoftPro. When asked why he might recommend that other firms do business with SoftPro, he said "I'd definitely refer them first to the customer service. Anytime we've had an issue, SoftPro is very quick to respond. Whether it's a phone call, email, whatever we need, SoftPro is always there to help very quickly." SoftPro's customer service has made such an impact on Caleb that he credits the award-winning support team as one of his favorite things about using SoftPro. He mentions that SoftPro's support makes his job easier because he doesn't have to worry about sitting on hold for hours to get the help that he needs. He's able to speak with customer service in a timely fashion, get his questions answered, and get back to doing the more important aspects of his job. 

Collaboration is a large aspect of the day-to-day operations at Lewis, Deese, Ditmore & Gregory, and SoftPro helps Caleb and his team accomplish that collaboration. "We can all jump in at any time to help if there's a question or an issue," he shares. He enjoys "the ability for all of us to use [SoftPro Hosted] and work efficiently together to get things done for our clients." The ability for staff to be able to see each other’s progress helps the firm streamline their workflow and stay on track with the delivery of their services. When asked to pick one word to describe his experience using SoftPro, Caleb settles on the word 'great.' He shares that his firm can always count on the dependability of SoftPro and knows that customer service is always available to answer questions, leading to an overall 'great' experience for Caleb and his team.
