SoftPro 40th Anniversary Customer Testimonial — Stephen F. Horne III

In honor of SoftPro's 40th anniversary in 2024, Stephen F. Horne III of Horne & Horne PLLC sat down with us and shared the story of the firm's partnership with SoftPro over the last 40 years and how he hopes to see that partnership grow over the next 40 years.

Greenville, NC-based law firm Horne & Horne PLLC have been using SoftPro for 40 years. Stephen recognizes that the title industry is ever-changing, and using SoftPro has allowed the firm to seamlessly adapt as the industry evolves. In addition to the software itself, Stephen also credits SoftPro support as another reason Horne & Horne has continued using SoftPro over the years: "We've continually used SoftPro for over 40 years because it has always provided us with top-quality customer service." SoftPro also provides customers like Horne & Horne with easy-to-use software solutions. When asked about what really stands out to him with the use of his SoftPro software, he explains it's "the ease at which it is to data fill and produce the result. It's quick, it's easy... it's a very simple product to use." The ease of using SoftPro has allowed Stephen's team to work efficiently and produce quality work in less time.

For Horne & Horne, working in title and working with SoftPro has been a family affair. Stephen explains that his father started the firm before Stephen was an undergrad, saying "I'm just thankful that he decided to go with [SoftPro] back then." Stephen further explains how the Horne family's legacy in the title industry and the use of SoftPro go hand in hand: "My oldest son is now an attorney here at my practice. He's working with paralegals learning SoftPro and the product himself, so for three generations, it's hopefully going to to continue to be a product that our firm continues to use." 

When asked to look ahead at the next 40 years and what he hopes to get out of a continued partnership with SoftPro, Stephen is quick to reflect on how SoftPro has evolved over the years and how he looks forward to the continued improvement of the product. "Every year, [SoftPro] seems to continue to tweak and improve the product, and, in our opinion, as the industry changes, they change, and they've done that for 40 years, and I don't see them ever stopping doing that." We look forward to proving Stephen right by continuing to make SoftPro better and better for our customers like Horne & Horne!
