PHH Corp has decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court the case where they called into question the constitutionality of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
This follows a decision that was made in PHH's favor back in January 2018 - when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled against a $109 million fine brought on by the CFPB against PHH. However, the full Court of Appeals also ruled against PHH's claim that the structure of the CFPB is unconstitutional.
The choice by PHH not to appeal the case to the Supreme Court effectively ended the legal battle between PHH Corp. and the CFPB, which they had been battling for the past 4 years.
