In honor of SoftPro's 40th anniversary in 2024, Tessa Leftwich of Isaacson Sheridan sat down with us and shared how SoftPro has been a reliable constant in the 40 years of the firm's practice and how SoftPro has made their commercial real estate closings smoother and more efficient.
Greensboro, NC-based law firm Isaacson Sheridan has been using SoftPro for 40 years. In those 40 years, the firm has evolved and the way they use SoftPro has changed. Firm Partner Tessa Leftwich explains that a few years ago, the firm switched from doing primarily residential real estate closings to almost exclusively commercial closings. "[SoftPro] allowed us to do that much more smoothly than we could have without it," she says of making that switch. The team had been using Excel spreadsheets to do commercial closing statements, so switching over to utilizing SoftPro for those closings "made that whole process much smoother," she adds. "It really improved the process because the commercial functions there are so much more robust."
Tessa recommends SoftPro to other title professionals because, thanks to the 40 year legacy of SoftPro, it's familiar to everyone in the industry, and other title and real estate professionals know what to expect when looking at the final product out of SoftPro. Tessa also points out that SoftPro "integrates well with other software, particularly the title companies' portals," which makes for streamlined workflow and less time spent rekeying data.
When asked for one word to describe SoftPro, Tessa doesn't hesitate to say "reliable." When looking ahead at the next 40 years of partnership with SoftPro, Tessa says she looks forward to "continued reliability and innovation." She goes on to say that she expects SoftPro to continue to keep up with changes in the industry and to evolve as the industry evolves, making it easy for Isaacson Sheridan to stay at the top of their game and have everything they need to stay compliant and efficient.
